How to Apply
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Program, physicians must:
Be committed to a career consistent with the Programs purposes and priorities
Have completed their residency training by the date of entry into the Program (except for surgeons)
Be highly regarded by those responsible for their clinical training
Be a US citizen or permanent resident

Stipends
Stipends are comparable with those of similar fellowship positions at Yale University and the VA Healthcare System at West Haven.

The online application period is closed and will reopen in December 2009. Online applications will include the following:
Background information
Three reference letters one of which must be from your current or most recent clinical program director. References should be able to comment on your clinical, leadership, and research skills.
Personal statement describing:
- Your specific training goals
- A brief description of a research project you might be interested in conducting as a Scholar
- Your previous work or research experience
- Your relevant leadership or service experience
- Your longer-term career goals

March 2010 - Notification of interviews
April 16, 2010 - Interviews must be completed
Late June 2010 - Candidates notified of acceptance into Program
July 1, 2011 - Entry of Scholars into the Program
